The Mizen Head is a country style restaurant with a menu that tells a true story of Northumberland. The team in the kitchen strive to produce a quality offering using the best of the ingredients taken from our local area. With this ingredient led approach the emphasis is put on the quality our region has to offer and is a real celebration of fresh food, local food and seasonal offerings. With ever changing availability of ingredients, our menu changes every day, so that only the freshest of produce is offered to you.
Provenance and Freshness are held to the upmost importance to us, we are very proud of the fact that we can have ingredients from ‘boat to plate’ and ‘farm to fork’ within a matter of hours! Our food offering is predominantly fish lead, giving our customers a range and quality of seafood that is yet to be seen elsewhere in our region. To compliment the a la carte menu we also offer a more casual menu for lunch offering tasting boards, pastas and freshly battered fish n chips. Additionally on a Sunday we offer a traditional roast beef. There is also a wine list to compliment our menu, almost eighty bottles to choose from!
